Snow Cab, the family-run transfer service that already holds the world title, is nominated again for World's Best Ski Transfer Operator 2026

The resort-based team that won World's Best Ski Transfer Operator in 2023 returns to the World Ski Awards shortlist for a fourth consecutive year — up against booking platforms and limousine fleets many times its size.

Snow Cab, the alpine transfer service run by the Hodson family from Montgenèvre, has been nominated for World's Best Ski Transfer Operator 2026. It is one of nine operators shortlisted in the category, and the only one on the list that both lives in the resorts it serves and has already been named the best in the world.

The World Ski Awards, the industry's global benchmark, are decided by public vote. Snow Cab won the category outright in 2023 and has been nominated every year since — a record of consistency that sets a small, family-run operator apart from the larger platforms it competes against.

"A transfer is the first hour of your holiday and the last, and we treat it that way," said Dean Cunningham, Transport Manager. "Our drivers know these mountain roads in every condition, they know the resorts because they live in them, and they get guests to the slopes the smooth way, not the long way. Winning the world title in 2023 meant everything to a team this size, and being nominated four years running tells us we got something right."

Every Snow Cab journey is carbon-offset, part of the family's commitment to looking after the mountains its guests come to enjoy. Combined with a fleet that knows the cross-border routes between France and Italy intimately, it makes the transfer itself part of the holiday rather than a chore at either end.

Snow Cab's sister brand, Go Montgenèvre, has also been nominated at this year's World Ski Awards, for World's Best Ski Tour Operator to France — recognition for a family group that has built its name on knowing one corner of the Alps better than anyone selling it from afar.

The winner will be announced at the World Ski Awards ceremony later this year. Public voting is open now.
